CELEBRATING THE ARTS

Welcome to The Arts Society Bromley

The Arts Society is a volunteer-led organisation which aims to promote, and connect people through, the arts. The charity is made up of 360 local societies, of which Bromley is one.

Local societies hold monthly lectures by experts, on subjects ranging from paintings to sculpture, architecture to film. We also run events, outings and tours and raise money for Young Arts projects.

THE ARTS SOCIETY AIMS:

Opening the world of the arts through lectures
Encouraging arts projects for young people in schools through Young Arts
Helping to preserve our heritage through voluntary work (with training if appropriate) in churches, museums, stately homes, archives, etc.

We are delighted that auctioneer and valuer Catherine Southon will be joining us as our new Patron. We welcome Catherine's knowledge about, and enthusiasm for, the arts and are really looking forward to working with her in the future.

October 5 - Rembrandt's Night Watch with Hilary Williams. Our first lecture of the year is preceded by our AGM which begins at 7.30 pm. The lecture will be begin at 7.45

Membership

Membership is £70.00 for the season (9 lectures). You can come along, no need to pre-book or be a member, for a taster lecture free of charge. You can also pay £10 as you go per lecture. Refreshments available from 7.15. We are a friendly and inclusive society - everyone will be warmly welcomed!

YOUNG ARTS

The Arts Society have most generously awarded us another grant. This will cover the full cost of an exciting new project with The Keeping Gallery, Shortlands, and Cudham C of E Primary School. The project will take its inspiration from the art works created by Charles and Renate Keeping.
